The journey

A journey through time, not a bartending class

Each stop is a century. Each drink, a piece of Mexican identity.

Finished mezcalita with a hibiscus flower garnish16th century

The Mezcalita

The sacred maguey

Mezcal predates tequila by centuries. It comes from a plant that Indigenous peoples already considered sacred long before the conquest.

Let's toast to the peoples who tended the maguey for centuries.

Cantarito garnished with grapefruit and orange18th–19th century

The Cantarito

Jalisco and the birth of tequila

Born in the fields of Tequila, served in clay to stay cool under the sun — Jalisco hospitality in a cup.

It was born out of necessity and creativity.

Paloma served with a grapefruit slice1950s–1960s

The Paloma

The most-drunk, the least-known abroad

More popular than the Margarita inside Mexico, and almost unknown outside it. Simplicity that became a habit.

Sometimes the simplest thing is the tastiest.

Michelada with a personalized chamoy-and-chile rim1970s–1980s

The Michelada

San Luis Potosí, Club Deportivo Potosino

Lime and salt in a beer that caused a stir at a sports club and ended up reinvented in every corner of the country. The most-shared moment on social media: your rim, your way.

My ice-cold chela.
